I’ve been having these mad cravings lately to try my hand at altered clothing. Some of you may know that I have done it in the past (during the 2008 GreenUp Festival in Kingston, Ontario), but I’ve been feeling a little rusty.
In preparation for all of the soon to come sewing, I hit up one of my new favourite thrift shops in Peterborough – Y’s Buys. Good deals, good cause. They were having an epic buy 1 get 2 free special in the already super discounted back room. Seriously! I may not believe in luck, but this sale closely resembled what it would look like.
I’ve been working on a couple things over the last few days. Some much more successful than others (like those pieces that have already taken up residence in my trash). Here’s a look at my favourite piece so far (more to come later I’m sure)…
