I’m so happy to say that after lots and lots (and lots and lots) of work, the Recycled Clothing Fashion Show was a great success. Even though there was lots of stress and uncertainty (on my part), it was worth it.
The Silent Auction for The Salvation Army was fairly successful as well. I had been a bit concerned that I wouldn’t get any bids because I didn’t think people would be coming with shopping on their minds. However, we managed to sell almost every outfit for at least the minimum bid of $10. The one outfit that didn’t sell wasn’t crafted at all so I understand why it didn’t go flying off the rack.
